Production Newsĭue to the huge buzz surrounding the release of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Sony Pictures Animation already began developing a sequel. Oscar winner, Daniel Kaaluya portrays Spider-Punk, while Brian Tyree Henry is in the expanded cast. Both of these characters portray Spider-Woman in their respective dimensions. Hailee Steinfeld is the voice of Gwen Stacy and Issa Rae takes on the role of Jessica Drew. Isaac’s Spider-Man is from an alternate future and Johnson is a Spider-Man from another dimension who was a mentor to Miles. Joining Moore are Oscar Isaac and Jake Johnson who both play Spider-Man. Shameik Moore stars as Miles Morales in this animated version of the beloved Spider-Man character.
Daniel Pemberton returns from his work on the first film to score the sequel. The movie is co-directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part One is written by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller with additional writing by David Callaham. It is produced by Columbia Pictures, Sony Pictures Animation and Marvel Entertainment.
